Wildfire may force 40,000 from Denver area: "A wildfire raging in the Pike National Forest southwest of Denver has doubled in size since Sunday and picked up speed, possibly forcing the evacuation of as many as 40,000 people from the southwest outskirts of Denver, state officials said Monday."
