Wyoming drought worsening: "'Wyoming is rapidly approaching its worst drought in recorded history,' state climatologist Jan Curtis said. 'We're pushing the envelope,' Curtis told a group of ranchers last week. 'Our drought right now is getting to historic proportions.' Soil moisture is at 1 percent of where it should be in southeast Wyoming and at about 10 percent statewide. The state's reservoirs are running about 50 percent below average, and most of the state's streams are hitting record lows."
