How to Make and Use a Pinhole Camera: "A cartridge pinhole camera is very easy to use because you can load and unload the camera in daylight, make at least 12 pictures without changing the cartridge, and have your photo dealer process the film. With a can or box pinhole camera, you must cut the film, load and unload the camera in a darkroom, reload the camera after each picture, and process the film yourself."
Fort Worth considering bottling its own tap water: "Fort Worth officials say the city could start bottling its own tap water in the next few years to be used in cases of emergency or sold in stores. These bottles, which could range from 16 ounces to 2 1/2 gallons, would contain tap water from close to home: from Lake Worth, Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Bridgeport, Benbrook Lake, Cedar Creek Reservoir and Richland-Chambers Reservoir."
The day the sun caught fire: "This spectacular eruption of superheated gases, shooting a flame hundreds of thousands of miles long into space from the sun, was captured on film by an orbiting satellite. The solar eruption, which is more than 240,000 miles long, burst from the surface of the sun yesterday as the satellite had its cameras trained on our nearest star."

"Effective immediately, ETL's creative services department is now called ETL's "Marketing Services." This moniker better reflects the full breadth of work we're charged with outputting. Specifically, within Marketing Services we're focused on: INTERNET INITIATIVES, to include website development and management, special web-based promotions, email blasts, database management and management of our existing websites (ETL's intranet, energytechlabs.com, getwise.org, twofreebulbs.com, filtertone.com, etc); PUBLIC RELATIONS, including development and execution of press initiatives, public events, media kits, follow-up and assessment; CREATIVE SERVICES, including creative development, graphic design, pre-press, print (in-house and exterior vendors), collateral materials, creative materials development and support for direct sales and distributors, video production and post-production, graphic animation, CD ROM development, DVD development and copywriting."
Roland reports that, "Loyd Schutte has been promoted to the position of Marketing Services Associate II, a lead role within ETL's Marketing Services group responsible for coordination and support of the department's production schedule, inter-department project support and coordination, and helping to ensure timely and efficient delivery of our department's deliverables. Please join me in congratulating Loyd on this accomplishment."
David said, "For those of you who are wondering who's the new employee sitting by Vongsone, well, her name is Gina Orlando. One of her main duties is to take on some of the many special 'projects' initiated by Ray, Travis or myself plus any other 'special initiatives' that need to be completed. Gina is currently enrolled at Stanislaus State University and is expected to graduate in August 2002. Her first couple weeks will probably be quite hectic as she gets used to what its like to learn 'ETL-style', so, please give her any tips / help that you might have."
Jeri will be out of the office until July 8th.
